Broken Roller vs. Good Roller

One small part can make a BIG difference in how your garage door runs.

Garage door rollers travel up and down the tracks every single time your door opens. Once they become worn, cracked, seized, or damaged, your door may start telling you pretty quickly.

A bad roller can cause:

🔊 Grinding, squeaking, or rattling
⚠️ Jerky or uneven movement
🔧 Extra strain on hinges and tracks
🚪 A door that feels rough instead of smooth

A good roller should roll freely, stay securely in the track, and help the door move smoothly and quietly.

We prefer quality steel, rubber-coated 10-bearing Tire N’ Ball rollers because the right hardware can make a noticeable difference in both noise and operation.

Take a look at your rollers next time the door is open. Do any of yours look worn or damaged?

If you’re not sure what you’re looking at, give The Garage Door Guys a call. We’ll be happy to take a look.
